At Nick Scali, we believe beautifully made furniture shouldn't come at the expense of people or the planet. We've made real progress on this front, and we're committed to continuing to raise the bar across our supply chain.
A large portion of the timber used across our range is now FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. This means it's sourced from forests that are independently verified to be responsibly managed, helping protect biodiversity, support the rights of local communities, and ensure long-term forest health rather than depleting it.
All of our fabrics are now OEKO-TEX certified. This certification means every fabric has been independently tested and confirmed free from harmful substances, giving you confidence that what's in your home is safe for your family as well as kind to the environment during production.
We also hold our manufacturing partners to a high standard when it comes to how their factories are run. Every factory we work with has passed independent child labour audits, giving us assurance that the people making our furniture are treated fairly and lawfully. Beyond this, many of our factory partners run their own sustainability initiatives, from reducing water and energy use to cutting down on manufacturing waste.
Looking ahead, we're also working towards a plastic-free delivery option, so that the packaging protecting your furniture on its way to your home has a lighter footprint too. We'll share more details as this rolls out in the near future.
Sustainability and ethical sourcing are an ongoing journey rather than a finished destination, and we'll keep updating this page as our practices and certifications evolve.
